Artist Sarah Buell Dowling
Sarah Buell Dowling is an award-winning artist and illustrator.
 Sarah uses color and light to illuminate the subjects of her paintings. She particularly enjoys painting shore birds. Most recently, her painting of a preening egret won an outstanding achievement award at the 2005 Member’s Exhibition of the Georgia Watercolor Society.Sarah has illustrated three books, as well as several children’s products that are sold in gift and toy stores, museum shops, and on the Internet. One of these products received the Toys of the Year award from Parenting Magazine; another was chosen as a Main Selection by the Children’s Book of the Month Club. Sarah also has designed whimsical stuffed animals and women’s wear. Her creations have been featured in numerous magazines, including House Beautiful, Town and Country, Mademoiselle and Vogue.
