Ashantilly Center Event part of Scottish Heritage Days in Darien, Georgia
Darien, GA (the Golden Isles): On Saturday, March 29, 2008, the Ashantilly Center attracted a crowd of well over 100 supporters to its latest fundraiser event, actually part of Scottish Heritage Days and held
in conjunction with Ft. King George in Darien. Starting in the late afternoon, the event opened with "A Whisky Tour of Scotland: Exploring Regional Variations," presented by Darrin McCullough, in which attendees enjoyed sampling six different kinds of fine Scotch whisky.
Following the whisky tasting party, the main event began at 6 p.m. on
the spacious grounds of the Ashantilly Center. Arriving guests were
welcomed with Jack Robertson playing bagpipes (Jack is part of the
husband and wife musical team, "Bagpipe & Fiddle.")
