- This was built as a private residence in
the late 1870's and has since then been
restored and is currently used as the Welcome Center.

Darien's Waterfront - Commercial fishing and shrimping have been a main
industry of this local community since the early 1900's. Commercial
fishing and shrimping vessels still line the docks bringing in fresh
seafood which is served at local restaurants throughout the area.
