The Georgia Marine Science Extension Center located on Skidaway Island, near Savannah,
Georgia, serves as the sanctuary's interpretive center and headquarters
offering a variety of educational services, exhibits and instructional
programs for students ranging from elementary school to college. The
island's aquarium, located on the site, features a number of live
exhibits
including a loggerhead turtle, a variety of other turtles, a long-nose
gar, sea horses, an eel, a shark, toadfish, and a variety of other fish
and sea creatures along with a number of fascinating displays.
