Little Tybee Island, located just south of Tybee Island, is accessible only by boat. This island, state owned and managed as a Heritage Preserve, is an uninhabited wilderness of maritime forests, marshland, and beautiful, unspoiled beaches. Nesting Osprey and Bald Eagles, as well as Reddish Egrets, Roseate Spoonbills, and other rare and endangered birds that inhabit the island make it a bird watcher's delight.
