	Golden Isles Art Galleries Golden Isles art galleries, art and artists feature painters, sculptors, jewelry artists and more. The McIntosh Art Association was founded on October 5, 2000 by four people who enjoyed painting together. Located in Darien, Georgia, the McIntosh Art Association sponsors exhibits, sales, trips, art classes, maintains an art center and museum, and lends support to other creative endeavors in the area. The McIntosh Art Association is headquartered at the Old Jail Art Center, located at 404 North way (P.O. Box 2103), Darien, GA 31305. Artist Sarah Buell Dowling
Sarah uses color and light to illuminate the subjects of her paintings. She particularly enjoys painting shore birds. Most recently, her painting of a preening egret won an outstanding achievement award at the 2005 Member’s Exhibition of the Georgia Watercolor Society. (More...)

Butterflies and moths of the Golden Isles include scores of spectacular, large and colorful species such as the Giant Swallowtail, the Zebra Longwing, the Palamedes Swallowtail, the Gulf Fritillary, and the Yellow and Black Swallowtails.

The Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association, housed in the Ritz Theatre located in Historic Downtown Brunswick, features a variety of productions by talented performers and musicians.
